The Scenic Route

From Reykjavik we head sout with first stop at explosion crater Kerid and waterfall Faxi.  Gravel road to Gullfoss waterfall for lunch stop.  Gullfoss is Iceland most famous waterfall with it´s glacier water cascade drops 32 meters in narrow canyon, 77 meters deep.  On our rout to hot spring Geysir we will cross few rivers and ride through Haukadalsforestcrossing.  Geysir is spouting on every 10 min 15-25 meters. At the area we will explore different types of hot spring.  From Geysir area we will ride to Thingvellir National Park. This is the only place in the world were you can see the American and Europe tectonic plates move apart from each other ,above sea level.   On our way to home we will stop at view point to Nesjavellir Powerplant,  through Hengill lava field and Hafravatn-lake, before we arrive at Reykjavik late afternnon.
